The year, Showa 7. Three young men learn karate at the dojo of Hidetaka Shibahara. However, when their master dies, he leaves behind a black belt which affects the following years of the young men.
This movie was really great... a little predictable, but still fascinating. So few movies really highlight true karate the way this one does... and it's awesome that they used real karateka instead of just actors! (Cute ones too!)
