All types. I do love "Chino Cubanos" "ropa vieja" or better known as shredded beef.I like all foods, provided they have stopped moving. And of course, let us not forget about "Moms" cooking.
FAVORITE QUOTES
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared with what lies within us"-Emerson
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away."
Just as it is the clear mirror that reflects without distortion, or the quiet valley that echoes a sound, so must one who would study Karate-do purge himself of selfish and evil thoughts, for only with a clear mind and conscience can he understand that which he receives.

"Karate-do Kyohan" "The Master Text"
"The perfect state of existence lies between what is substantial and what is insubstantial."

An offensive attitude does not exist in Karate.
Karate is an aid to justice.
First know yourself and then others.
Spirit is more important than technique.
It is necessary to let KOKORO free (the mind).
Accidents result of neglect.
Karate training is not only in the dojo.
Karate is a lifelong training.
Confront your problems with a Karate spirit.
Karate is like warm water (if you don't heat it constantly, it will cool).
Do not foster the idea of winning neither that of being defeated.
Transform yourself according to your opponent.
The secret of combat resides in the art of directing it.
Think of your arms and legs as swords.
When you leave your home, think that you have numerous opponents waiting for you (it is your behavior that invites trouble from them).
Beginners must master low stance and posture; natural body positions are for the advanced.
Strive for the perfect form (kata), real combat is something else.
Do not forget to correctly apply: strength and weakness of power, expansion and contraction of the body, and slow and fast techniques.
Always try to study and express it better.

MY MOST REWARDING ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Helping those who cannot help themselves in times of disasters, be it man made or natural.

Working in Biloxi, MS after the events of Hurricane Katrina. The amount of devastation cannot be put in words and as such, my role to feed residents of communities that were wiped away was the greatest challenge on an emotional, physial and emotional level.
WHAT I LIKE
Cooperation, communication and collaboration in the Martial Arts. The "feel good" feeling of a student when they "got it".
Helping those who cannot help themselves. Here is a YouTube video of my presentation on emergency preparedness. We can all learn from this short clip. Enjoy
