Oh my god that was intense. I am in the Naval Jr. Reserve Officers training Corps (NJROTC), and for this program I have signed up for a four day period of Basic Leadership training (BLT) also known as mini boot camp.This will be at Newport RI This will last from Thursday till Sunday, I will be having a graduation ceremony around noon. In my opinion kata is a very effective training tool on a multitude of levels. If nothing else, it is an excellent solo training exercise for building anaerobic and aerobic fitness. Try doing 40 seiyunchin kata in a row. Boxers do exercises like skipping and shadow boxing because they are good for fitness and coordination etc.. But skipping etc. have nothing on kata.
