FATHER'S IMPORTANCE IN CHILD'S WELL-BEING
Posted On 12/19/2007 11:12:59 by evangelium

We've already crossed the line into very peculiar debates and discussions. Perhaps most people in the world would find it unnecessary to 'present evidence' that father's play a central role in the health and well-being of their children. Yes, we've crossed into dark times, indeed, when we expend time, money, and energy to conduct research that both sides hope to use to advance their social agendas; oddly enough the child's natural needs are often ignored or denied.

There are so many wa... Read More

Warriors, Women, and Wounds-Part I
Posted On 12/12/2007 21:10:48 by evangelium

(This is Part I of II on this topic. It seems necessary to lay out some background information to make it easier to understand how/why ways male warriors seem so vulnerable in dealings with women. I trust you won't dismiss Part I as a bunch of psychobabble. It matches my experience as a kid, and my son tells me it's basically the same game for his generation. I'm resolving to let her do this far more often. This time of day is good medicine for one prone to feel bad about denying his dog the pure joy and adventure of walks with 'Daddy'. Shadow is about 6-7 years old but doesn't realize her puppy days are past. Too smart for her own good, amazingly fast, close to fearless, she digs life. Well... Read More

Warriors and Loneliness-Inevitable ? or WOLVES, SHEEP, SHEEPDOGS, &...

(if short on time, PLEASE jump right to the comments to these posts---far more interesting frankly--if only because initial posts can't cover the endless nuances of such things; also, I lifted the WSSSN title from a comment to first post)

Seems to me that warriors must do battle with Loneliness from time to time. My guess is the worst of Loneliness hits people early in their lives--not long after realization that other people seem lighter, happier, more carefree, less burdened, and the re... Read More
