POLICE HUMOR
Posted On 12/19/2007 14:32:10 by evangelium

Okay, a bit more lightness. Correction: first bit of levity in a while. I re-read my last post-supposedly a break from heaviness--and I go off on crazy tangents and follow-up with an endless series of quotes on love. That caught my attention. I need to work on lightness and fun. In my defense, I do have a sense of humor though it tends to be dark, dry, biting, and few people realize I'm joking. Okay, I need a major overhaul not just a tune-up. It's worse, this is me on anti-... Read More

WARRIORS, WEAR AND TEAR SYNDROMES, AND DANGEROUS HANG-UPS
Posted On 12/19/2007 14:28:21 by evangelium

WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE TO TAKE BACK OUR LIVES ?

There seems to be lots of misinformation, confusion, fear, humiliation, shame, and the rest re the fact warriors experience increased levels of 'wear and tear syndromes' as compared to the general population--common enough in this group. Yes, we've crossed into dark times, indeed, when we expend time, money, and energy to conduct research that both sides hope to use to advance their social agendas; oddly enough the child's natural needs are often ignored or denied.

There are so many wa... Read More

Are you a traditionalist, or a commercialist in your training pyhilosophy?

Traditional Training vs. CommercialismThe Debate Continues

A plethora of articles of been written on this subject over the past several decades; yet the debate continues.  I’ve been assisting with the instruction of karate classes at a friends (David) school, along with another gentleman (Ariel) who has been training in Shotokan for more than 26 years.  David has been running a commercial school for...
