Joint Locks, Holds & Counters, Masterclass
Cambridge Academy of Martial Arts® (UK) is pleased to present a 'Masterclass of Joint Locks, Holds & Counters' with CAMA Master Instructor, Ollie Batts.
Details:
Date : Sunday 30th March, 2008
Times: 11am - 3.30pm
Venue: The Leys School Sports Complex, Trumpington Road, Cambridge (UK) CB2 2AD
Cost : £20 if pre-registered and pre-paid, otherwise £25 on-the-door
Empty-hand training will include:
Break-aways (escapes from holds)
Applications (how to apply locks effectively)
Technique of countering (using lock flow drills)
Tie-ups (immobilising holds)
Strategy (when to apply locks & holds)
Ollie will also introduce his recently developed palm stick, called a Zubo™
and with that he will also be teaching:
Manipulations
Strikes
Locks and Countering Locks and Holds.
About Ollie Batts, in brief:
Ollie has been involved in the martial arts for 35 years, and he is qualified to teach several different systems, including: Filipino Kali/Eskrima/Silat, Russian Cambo/Sambo/Sombo, Korean Kuk Sool/Hapkido, Savate and Jun Fan/JKD.
The material used on this seminar will be a blend of techniques, skills and training methods, taken from those arts - and others.
