In 1969 upon Sensei Teruo Chinen's arrival in Spokane,WA, he began the tradition of a yearly Gasshuku-a training camp for practitioners of all ranks. While each each Gasshuku affords many benefits and memorable experiences,this one marks a noteworthy accomplishment for Sensei and underscores his lifelong dedication to the teaching and practice of Goju Ryu. I hope that you will join Sensei and practitioners from around the world to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this event. Specific information regarding registration, hotel arrangements and special events linked to the 40th Gasshuku celebration will be posted in January.
