Tai Chi and the Eastern philosophies it arose from can, to the Western mind, seem very strange and alien. Sifu Rick has a wealth of insight on bridging the gap between these two mindsets (East & West) and is great at helping people approach an understanding of Tai Chi that suits the Western mind. He's an incredibly talented Tai Chi practitioner with a lot of understanding and a generous spirit of sharing. He's an absolute joy to train with. His explanations and exercises in "central equilibrium" can help you better understand your balance and posture. His concept of "energetic coherence" is a wonderful expression of what I call "proper relaxation" which is a pivotal element in good body mechanics and power generation in strikes. No matter what your background, you'll find something useful to take away from your time with Sifu Rick.
